
The book “The Truth Behind the Numbers” receives international accreditation as a training manual for economic journalists
The Supreme Economic Council of the International Federation of Journalists and Media – Training Sector today announced the accreditation of the book “The Truth Behind the Numbers: A Roadmap for Economic Journalists” as an official and accredited training curriculum for journalists, researchers, and those interested in economic affairs. The book, authored by veteran Saudi journalist Jamal bin Hussein Bannoun, represents the culmination of more than four decades of professional experience in economic journalism. It comprises 18 chapters of practical knowledge, professional analysis, and practical guidance needed by every journalist seeking to understand and simplify numbers for the public.
The accreditation was signed by the President of the International Federation of Press and Media, Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Tayara, who emphasized in his official speech that the book “constitutes a comprehensive training reference, whose summaries and chapters can be presented to students and researchers in the economic media sector.” The book features a professional introduction written by Mr. Mohammed Al-Bishi, editor-in-chief of Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper, and Mr. Mutlaq Al-Baqmi, editor-in-chief of Mal newspaper, highlighting the importance of the book as a training reference. and praised its content, which combines field experience and analytical insight, making it an effective tool for training economic journalists at various stages of their careers.
